Today is the day to reach out,
tomorrow is the day to feel better.

Starting now, you can begin a new chapter toward a more positive direction for yourself – one that is filled with growth, well being, acceptance, and empowerment.

You are worthy of taking time for yourself. In our fast pace world it is not always easy to slow down and dedicate time to working on the issues you or a loved one may be dealing with. Our stressors and challenges make us human. In therapy you will be able to learn new skills and tools to help you manage your specific concerns. I am here to help you focus on your mental, emotional health and wellness.

Do any of these sound familiar to you?

* Dealing with anxiety or depression has become too overwhelming
* Navigating teen issues or young adult life transitions
* Obsessing over thoughts about food, weight gain, body image or over exercising
* Struggling with family conflict and setting boundaries
* Seeking guidance in your new engagement or current relationship
* Healing from a recent relationship break-up

If you or someone you love has been dealing with emotional and/or behavioral problems, it may be time to try counseling. You will be in a comfortable, supportive, and encouraging environment where the focus will be on you – there is no ‘cookie cutter’ way of doing things here. Read more about my practice below.

What can therapy do for me?

There are a variety of individualized benefits that can come from therapy. As your therapist I want to offer a different way of looking at things – perhaps a perspective you haven’t yet considered, which makes it easier to find balance, direction and the solutions in your life.

Here are a few examples of some benefits:

* Gaining a better understanding of yourself
* Identifying your goals and dreams
* Building skills for better communication in relationships
* Learning adaptive coping skills and tools
* Stress management
* Creating new patterns of behavior
* Increasing problem-solving perspective
* Enhancing your self-concept and insight

Therapy isn’t meant to be some kind of ‘quick fix’ where you simply sit back and listen. It is a participatory experience. The more you involve yourself in the process, the better. It’s a practice in everyday living, in which you take what you learn from the session, and apply it to your life.

It passes, until then it teaches
